ThingWorx™ today announced that Camgian Microsystems, a leading provider of advanced sensing technologies and solutions in the areas of low-power microelectronics, sensors, wireless communications, and data analysis for the government and industrial sectors, has chosen the ThingWorx platform to enable its latest innovation, Quantus™, a next-generation Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) wireless networking platform. Quantus supports the deployment of intelligent mobile sensing solutions that enable organizations to more effectively manage remote industrial assets and improve operational efficiency.

Camgian will utilize the ThingWorx platform to power the Quantus end-to-end enterprise M2M platform, providing organizations with a real-time, unified view of diverse operations of interest. The Quantus platform utilizes an integrated, flexible architecture of low-power sensors, wireless communications, and secure, cloud-based analytics and reporting to offer a complete solution to its customers. This partnership encompasses opportunities in a wide range of industries, including government, security, waste, smart agriculture, smart cities, and retail, and will initially focus across multiple verticals in remote field service management, smart logistics, and smart facilities.

“Today in the market, there are numerous single-point solutions,” said Gary Butler, CEO of Camgian Microsystems. “ThingWorx will enable Camgian to deliver horizontal M2M solutions that provide customers with one consolidated view of their sensor-enabled operations.”

Using the Quantus platform in combination with ThingWorx, Camgian will benefit from a 10X improvement in solution development and delivery, enabling it to build modern, complete, flexible, end-to-end connected applications for its customers. This solution will provide businesses with insights into all facets of their company’s operations, including consumer behavior and trends, asset and inventory location, and energy usage, and will drive innovation in the areas of logistics operations.

“ThingWorx and its M2M software platform help us rapidly deliver powerful solutions to our customers in a highly efficient and cost-effective manner,” added Butler. “We are excited about our partnership and have already begun to roll out new solutions.”
