CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA) today announced the kickoff of its eighth annual global employee volunteer program, CA Together in Action, which runs throughout October.
CA Together in Action brings employees around the globe together to enrich the lives and well-being of others in communities where CA Technologies has a presence. By supporting a wide range of local nonprofit organizations, employees give back through volunteer efforts that include education and technology programs for underserved youth, environmental clean-ups, building affordable housing and assisting food banks with feeding the hungry.
“Giving back in the communities where we live and work is an important part of our company’s culture,” said Erica Christensen, vice president, Corporate Social Responsibility, CA Technologies. “Year after year our participation numbers have continued to grow, demonstrating the commitment our employees have to giving back in their communities. Together, we truly can make a difference.”
Since its inception in 2005, CA Together in Action has collectively provided support to more than 1,000 volunteer projects with approximately 45,000 hours of community service. Employees are able to use up to three work days each year to volunteer with organizations of their choice."We appreciate CA Technologies participating in our beach cleanups and enjoy working with this group of dedicated volunteers,” said Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation Program Coordinator, Abby Gronberg. “In 2012, we collected 12,477 pounds of debris from 219 cleanups. Every little bit helps, and we are so grateful for CA Technologies and the hard work their volunteers do to keep New Hampshire clean and safe for everyone.” “SOS Villaggi dei Bambini has partnered with CA Technologies since 2008,” said Franco Muzio, National Director, SOS Villaggi dei Bambini Italia. “CA Together in Action is such a positive program that brings supportive and enthusiastic CA Technologies employees together to help support the important work we do for the children and families we work with.”
