McGraw Hill Construction Announces Integration Of GreenSource & SNAP

Stocks in this article: MHFI

NEW YORK, Sept. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- McGraw Hill Construction today announced that beginning in 2014, the company's GreenSource ( http://greensource.construction.com/), the leading publication of sustainable design, will be integrated into SNAP ( http://construction.com/Sweets/), its quarterly media source for active architects who recommend, select and specify new building products.

GreenSource will appear as a multi-page section within SNAP, covering issues such as sustainable product performance, product innovation, improved building technology, case studies of LEED-certified buildings, and continuing education.

McGraw Hill Construction created GreenSource in 2006 to serve a growing market of professionals with a keen interest in sustainable design.  Today, green features are essential to all building types, with 91% of global industry professionals expecting to specify a green building product by 2017, according to McGraw-Hill Construction's "World Green Building Trends SmartMarket Report."

"Today's savvy building product manufacturers need a broad-based platform to showcase their sustainable products and innovations to the general audience of active architects and designers. To meet this need, GreenSource is expanding its reach by integrating into SNAP, the award-winning publication for new building products.  This powerful combination will deliver even more essential and cohesive product information and case studies to its readers, and provide its advertisers with the best of both worlds: a unique editorial environment and a larger audience," said Laura Viscusi, vice president, McGraw Hill Construction Media, and publisher, Architectural Record, GreenSource, and SNAP.

"We will continue to bring the editorial standards for which GreenSource is known to covering key trends, projects and products in the field of sustainable design," said Cathleen McGuigan, editor-in-chief, Architectural Record and editorial director, GreenSource and SNAP.

"We are so proud of the award-winning team that created GreenSource, and we are confident that their new home within SNAP will maintain their unique editorial identity while making best use of the powerful synergy between the two brands," said Keith Fox, president, McGraw Hill Construction.

GreenSource will continue to publish its electronic newsletters, as well as its award-winning website, http://greensourcemag.com.
