Sun Microsystems Closes Acquisition of Cobalt Networks
Sun Microsystems(SUNW Quote) completed the acquisition of Colbalt Networks(COBT Quote), a provider of server equipment for Internet service providers and small- and medium-sized businesses.
Cobalt, Mountain View, Calif., will become Sun's server appliance business unit. The acquisition was valued at about $2 billion when it was disclosed in September. Sun ended the regular session at $42.81 and was recently quoted at $40.69 in after-hours activity on the Island ECN.- Loading Comments...
