PLEASANTON, Calif., Sept. 16, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Cooper Companies, Inc. (NYSE:COO) today announced it closed a $300 million 5-year Senior Unsecured Term Loan which matures September 12, 2018. The Company intends to use the facility to pay down borrowings under its $1 billion Senior Unsecured Revolving Line of Credit which matures May 31, 2017.
Commenting on the transaction, Robert S. Weiss, Cooper's president and chief executive officer said, "This Term Loan provides additional financial flexibility through an improved maturity structure, additional capacity and lower interest rates which will result in estimated interest expense savings, net of fees, of approximately $370,000 in fiscal 2014."
