Corporate Office Properties Trust (“COPT” or the “Company”) (NYSE: OFC) announced that its operating partnership, Corporate Office Properties, L.P. (the "Operating Partnership"), has priced an offering of $250 million aggregate principal amount of 5.25% senior unsecured notes due February 15, 2024 (the "Notes") at a price equal to 98.783% of the principal amount. The Notes will be senior unsecured obligations of the Operating Partnership and will be fully and unconditionally guaranteed by COPT.
The Operating Partnership intends to use the net proceeds from the offering of the Notes to repay borrowings under its senior unsecured revolving credit facility and for general corporate purposes. The sale of the Notes is expected to close on September 16, 2013, subject to customary conditions.
