“Earning a degree is empowering, and we want to help students everywhere achieve their goals,” said Tracy Lorenz, president of Western International University. “West is committed to offering a flexible, affordable, attainable online degree program through our upgraded, innovative online course format that fits a variety of lifestyles and helps individuals succeed.”
West’s online format features eight-week courses that begin each month. Each course follows a weekly schedule that allows students to review short videos and reading assignments, complete interactive exercises to reinforce their knowledge, and engage with instructors and fellow students to put the learning into practical context.
To be considered for the scholarship, in addition to meeting the eligibility requirements, individuals must write a 500-word essay describing how furthering their education with a degree will help them work smarter, live smarter and be smarter in every aspect of their lives.
