Manulife Financial Launches The CoverMe™ Easy Issue Life Insurance Plan

A new life insurance plan that focuses on ease

WATERLOO, ON, Sept. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - Manulife Financial today launched the latest in its suite of CoverMe™ life insurance products. The CoverMe Easy Issue Life insurance plan is simple, straightforward life insurance that can be purchased online or over the phone.

The CoverMe Easy Issue Life plan is a 10 year term life insurance plan that offers two benefit amounts:  $50,000 and $75,000. The application process is streamlined and quick: there are two health-related questions to answer when applying.

"We designed the CoverMe Easy Issue Life plan specifically for Canadians who are looking for ease and affordability in their life insurance plan," said Bob Doyle, Manulife Financial's Director of Strategic Marketing. "Not only can it be purchased online or over the phone in just a few minutes but we also guarantee that premiums don't increase for 10 years, making payment planning straightforward."

CoverMe Easy Issue Life insurance is intended for adults who recognize the importance of life insurance and who are interested in purchasing quickly and easily - without lengthy medical questionnaires to complete or medical exams when they apply.

"Many Canadians want simple, straightforward life insurance solutions that can be obtained quickly, easily and at their convenience," said Brian Gooding, Senior-Vice President and General Manager, Affinity Markets. "We believe our CoverMe Easy Issue Life plan does just that."

CoverMe is the Affinity Markets self-service brand, offering a suite of individual health, travel and life insurance plans. Consumers can call 1-877-COVERME® (1-877-268-3763) or visit CoverMe.Com to request information packages and ask questions; they can apply for insurance coverage over the phone or completely online.
