The company also confirmed the shipment of its first commercial orders for Marqibo.

Marqibo is a novel, sphingomyelin/cholesterol liposome-encapsulated formulation of the FDA-approved anticancer drug vincristine. Marqibo’s approved indication is for the treatment of adult patients with Philadelphia chromosome-negative acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph- ALL) in second or greater relapse or whose disease has progressed following two or more lines of anti-leukemia therapy. In the US, approximately 6,000 patients are diagnosed with ALL on an annual basis of which approximately 1,600 patients can be categorized as Ph- ALL in second or greater relapse.
Marqibo can be accessed through Spectrum Therapy Access Resources (STAR) which is a reimbursement support, co-pay assistance, and patient assistance program designed to help patients and healthcare professionals gain appropriate access to drugs.

Vincristine, a microtubule inhibitor, is FDA-approved for the treatment of adult patients with Philadelphia chromosome-negative (Ph-) acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in second or greater relapse or whose disease has progressed following two or more anti-leukemia therapies.
