LEED for Homes is a system developed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) for the purpose of rating and recognizing homes built to a more sustainable standard than conventional homes built to code. LEED was developed with the intention to transform the mainstream building industry by promoting and encouraging best practices for environmental design, construction, and property management.  LEED Certification is based on a point system that is broken down into eight credit categories: 1) Innovation in Design Process, 2) Location and Linkages, 3) Sustainable Sites, 4) Water Efficiency, 5) Energy & Atmosphere, 6) Materials & Resources, 7) Indoor Environmental Quality, 8) Awareness & Education.  LEEDā€certified homes can have a myriad of benefits and green homes generally are more comfortable, more energy and water efficient, and have a smaller overall environmental footprint than conventional homes.

"We are proud to set the bar for green living by opening the first market rate multifamily community in the San Fernando Valley to receive LEED Gold Certification from the USGBC.  IMT Sherman Village is the first of many LEED Certified communities being built by IMT Residential," said Joseph Elhabr, Vice President of IMT Residential. "We hope to provide the residents of the Los Angeles area with a high standard of living that is also environmentally conscious," Elhabr states. IMT plans on implementing its professional and strategic managing techniques to ensure steady and continual growth while maintaining the superior service, hence allowing them to realize their well-earned reputation.

Located at 12729 Riverside Drive in Sherman Village, CA, IMT Sherman Village is a luxurious and eco-conscious residential community. This unique residential complex features thoughtfully designed one and two bedroom floor plans complete with in-home washers and dryers, gourmet kitchens, quartz countertops, custom maple cabinetry, hardwood style and tile style flooring, and balconies overlooking the bustling city of Sherman Village.
