Wealth-X Supports Turquoise Mountain With UHNW Prospecting As Part Of Its Giving Back Programme

LONDON, Aug. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its giving back programme, Wealth-X, the world's leading ultra high net worth (UHNW) intelligence provider, announced today its support of Turquoise Mountain in its mission to regenerate Afghanistan's historic urban areas, renew its traditional arts and architecture and spur the sustainable development of the nation's craft industry.

Wealth-X will provide the non-profit organisation unrivalled access to the world's largest collection of curated research and insight on UHNW individuals to help it identify and develop relationships with existing and prospective donors. Turquoise Mountain will also be invited to participate in Wealth-X's global events.

Turquoise Mountain was established in 2006 under the patronage of HRH Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, and Afghan President Harmid Karzai. Turquoise Mountain Institute and Turquoise Mountain Arts were set up the following year to train Afghan artisans and promote their handicrafts, calligraphy, jewellery and textiles locally and overseas.

One major project was the regeneration of Murad Khane, a historic city along the Kabul river, in which more than 90 architecturally significant buildings were restored and infrastructure installed. Turquoise Mountain also worked with the local community to make education and healthcare services available to all.

"We are excited to work with Wealth-X, and are grateful for their help in finding supporters for our Afghan craft businessmen and women," Turquoise Mountain's CEO Shoshana Clark Stewart said.

Wealth-X CEO Mykolas D. Rambus said: "We at Wealth-X believe that as we grow and continue to be successful, we have an obligation to give back. With 12 offices in five continents, Wealth-X is best positioned to help Turquoise Mountain identify the right donor candidate. We will continue to identify charitable organisations that can benefit from our bespoke intelligence and research expertise."
