/PRNewswire/ -- Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE: DBD) continues to gain momentum when it comes to certifying its latest software platform on the Windows 7 operating system. Available today for deployment, Agilis 3 automated teller machine (ATM) software has been certified by many of the industry's leading network processors across
the United States
, including First Data, Elan Financial Services, Fiserv, NetWorks and Vantiv.
The open architecture design of the Agilis 3 software application reduces the time and cost of implementing advanced functionality, such as branding elements, text messaging and email alerts, receipts via a mobile device and customized preference settings, into the ATM channel. This allows financial institutions to deliver a tailored and enhanced user experience. Additionally, Agilis 3 leverages multi-channel application development, which allows users to initiate a transaction in one channel and execute in another channel.
"In today's environment, it is imperative that banking channels operate synergistically," said
Mychal D. Kempt
, vice president,
operations, Diebold. "The open architecture design of Agilis 3 enables an ATM to communicate with other banking channels, such as mobile. We're excited to help our customers stay in tune with consumer technology and best utilize their self-service channel."
With Agilis 3, financial institutions can also align their ATM fleet with imminent changes that will impact the self-service channel, including terminal software migration to Windows 7, Europay, MasterCard
(EMV) compliance, payment card industry guidelines (PCI) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations.
