CACI Awarded $26.6 Million Contract To Provide Healthcare Facilities Support To Air Force Medical Support Agency

CACI International Inc ( NYSE:CACI) announced today that it has received a prime contract to provide healthcare facilities support to the Air Force Medical Support Agency’s (AFMSA) Health Facilities Division. With a value of $26.6 million, this three-year (one base year plus two one-year options) task order contract was awarded under three schedules CACI holds with the General Services Administration. It represents continuing work for CACI and reinforces the company’s presence in its Healthcare market.

As part of the Air Force Medical Service, the AFMSA Health Facilities Division manages the Air Force’s 17 million square feet of healthcare facilities worldwide. CACI will assist AFMSA in the planning, programming, design, and execution of sustainment, restoration, and modernization efforts at 72 Air Force Medical Treatment Facilities. This work includes providing technical and functional design guidance for major building systems, managing program financials, and analyzing and evaluating maintenance contracts. CACI’s subject-matter experts will also advise facilities regarding national healthcare standards in order to promote a positive care environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

CACI is an industry leader in supporting the operational and IT needs of the federal healthcare logistics community. The company’s past advancements for the Air Force Medical Service significantly contributed to the service receiving the Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star Partner of the Year award for reducing energy consumption in medical facilities by 10 percent.

John Mengucci, CACI’s Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations, said, “This contract supporting the Air Force Medical Support Agency leverages CACI’s expertise in medical facilities management and modernization. Our continuing support will enable Air Force health professionals to care for our nation’s military personnel and their families in modern, efficient, and safe treatment facilities.”

According to CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury, “CACI is deeply honored to support the Air Force’s vital medical mission as part of this contract with the Air Force Medical Support Agency. Our continuing work in healthcare facilities support validates our ongoing strategy to focus on the high-growth healthcare market.”
