About Kings County Tennis League:
At Kings County Tennis League, our mission is to use tennis as an instrument for mentorship and community building in Brooklyn. Equipped with a passion for social justice and portable nets, we set out four years ago to bring tennis to the doorsteps of kids in Bedford-Stuyvesant's public housing communities. The level of response and engagement has been overwhelming. From May to October, our corps of volunteers provides underserved youth with free weekly tennis instruction, organized tournaments, wellness education, field trips, and a set of mentors from diverse personal and professional backgrounds. But we have just scratched the surface of what KCTL can achieve through this model for youth development. With the help of our supporters and new partners, KCTL will make an ever greater impact on young lives and neighborhoods across Brooklyn.
