Digital River, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRIV) announced a Private Store solution ideal for makers of digital content and branded manufacturers of all types. The cloud-based solution enables merchants to offer special pricing to exclusive groups of online buyers through limited-access, branded online stores. The stores can be localized to support over 30 languages, display more than 40 currencies and offer in excess of 40 regional payment methods.
Private Stores can be used to support employee purchase plans; special discounts for partners; education and academic pricing; discounts for employee friends and family members; special event offers; and loyalty or fan club plans. More than a dozen of Digital River’s top enterprise commerce customers, including, the Mattel ® MattyCollector.com site and Kensington are running Private Stores.

Digital River customers can launch a Private Store, a global, Software-as-a-Service solution, within minutes by following a self-managed wizard tool. The Private Store solution allows merchants to fully brand or co-brand the store user experience, customize product offerings, set discount pricing for each item and restrict the quantity and frequency of purchases per user for a defined time period. To limit user access and ensure that only the proper group members enter, Private Stores use a combination of advanced authentication options, including email address, email invitation, domain, access codes, or a referring URL or IP address.
