A unique “honey washed” process enhances the coffee’s sweetness and bright taste, allowing it to exude velvety, concentrated flavors of blood orange and plum. Roasted only on one day, Costa Rica Finca El Quizarrá White Honey Special Reserve will be available while supplies last in 12 oz. bags.

During processing most coffee beans are typically either “washed,” where all fruit layers are removed before the beans are dried, or “natural,” where fruit is left intact in the drying process. In the “honey washed” process, the skin of the coffee cherry is removed, but the thick, honey-like layer that protects the bean is left on. This process results in a bright flavor and subtle sweetness imparted by the natural sugars of the fruit.
