Sandata Technologies And Centene Corporation Execute National Agreement

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y., July 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Centene Corporation (NYSE:CNC) a national leader in the healthcare services field and Sandata Technologies, LLC, an industry leader in technology solutions for long term support services, announced the execution of a national agreement for Sandata to provide technology solutions for Centene's Home and Community Based ("HCBS") programs.  Centene's decision to designate Sandata as one of its Home Care technology partners is based on their focus of increasing compliance to care plans, improving quality of service for their members, and increasing overall program efficiency within their home care provider networks.

The Sandata solution suite provides Centene's staff the ability to document home care visits electronically and actively monitor home care services in both real time and retrospectively which aids in compliance, claims accuracy, and eliminates inappropriately billed services.  Together, with Centene's use of telephone, mobile GPS and other technologies, these solutions will drive increased quality by ensuring members receive appropriate services and reduce the costs associated with fraud, waste and abuse.

Sunshine State Health Plan (Sunshine Health), a subsidiary of Centene, Corp. located in Florida will be the first of Centene's local plans to launch Sandata's solutions later this summer.  Sunshine Health was recently selected to support Florida's Medicaid Managed Care Long Term Services Program, and as such, will ensure quality oversight of home health services as well as adopt policies, procedures and controls for the prevention and detection of potential or suspected fraud and abuse. As a result, Sunshine Health is requiring that home health providers in the State of Florida use Sandata's EVV solutions.
