INDIANAPOLIS, June 20, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Less than six months after launching, the Angie's List Magazine app is soaring up the charts. The app broke into the bestseller list for "Top Free iPad Newsstand Apps" this month, hitting a high of 14th place according to the Apple App Store.
The national consumer review service launched the magazine app on December 31, 2012. The award-winning Angie's List Magazine app provides users with monthly news and articles on everything from home maintenance to health care, arming them with the information they need to make smart hiring decisions.
"Angie's List is more than just reviews. We're dedicated to the empowerment and education of consumers and that's exactly what our magazine and this app provide," said Angie Hicks, who in 1995 co-founded the company with CEO Bill Oesterle. "We have an incredible depth of content and resources that we've cultivated over our 18 year history. We draw on both the experiences of our members and the companies they review."
The Angie's List Magazine staff has been recognized more than 100 times with top journalism and design awards, including an American Web Design award for "Best Design." The magazine was also a 2013 Lisagor Finalist for "Use of Digital Technology."
An Angie's List membership includes a subscription to a monthly printed magazine. The company publishes 89 localized editions in 57 markets. Members in those areas can download the Angie's List Magazine app and receive the content for free on their iPad.
