ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the leading pure play global engineering and consultancy firm, has announced it has officially re-branded its water division as ARCADIS.
ARCADIS acquired Malcolm Pirnie, a company with its primary focus in water and environmental consulting and engineering, in 2009 and has continued to operate in the water/wastewater industry as Malcolm Pirnie, the water division of ARCADIS. As of June 1 ARCADIS launched a full brand transition scheduled to conclude by the end of 2013.
“Our heritage and reputation as a leading consultant addressing the world’s most complex water challenges is unsurpassed – regardless of what name you put on it,” said Michael MacPhee, President of the Water Division. “Ultimately it is our people, our knowledge, and our commitment to our clients that defines us.”
“The ARCADIS brand is known around the globe for innovative solutions to some of the world’s most complex engineering challenges,” said Gary Coates, CEO and COO for ARCADIS U.S. “Bringing the Malcolm Pirnie brand under the ARCADIS umbrella reinforces our ability to bring unsurpassed resources and value to our clients and their projects.”
In the four years since the merger, the companies have combined their resources and drawn on the breadth and depth of their expertise on a number of groundbreaking projects such as the ongoing design-build wastewater system rehabilitation in Islamorada and aquifer recharge efforts in Sunrise and continue to provide water and wastewater services to municipal and county agencies throughout South Florida.
