/PRNewswire/ -- CME Group Inc. (NASDAQ: CME) today announced the preliminary shareholder voting results from its 2013 annual meeting.
At the meeting, shareholders:
- elected Terrence A. Duffy, Charles P. Carey, Mark E. Cermak, Martin J. Gepsman, Leo Melamed, Joseph Niciforo, C.C. Odom II, John F. Sandner and Dennis A. Suskind each for a one-year term expiring in 2014;
- ratified the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as our independent registered public accounting firm for 2013; and
- approved, by advisory vote, the compensation of our named executive officers.
Shareholders did not approve the shareholder proposal to implement proxy access.
In addition, the company's Class B-1 shareholders elected
Howard J. Siegel
for a one-year term, and Class B-3 shareholders elected
Steven E. Wollack
for a one-year term. The election of the B-2 nominating committee was adjourned to
June 11, 2013
