BETHESDA, Md., May 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Walker & Dunlop, Inc. (NYSE: WD) announced today that Brian Casey will join the Company's Proprietary Capital Group on May 23 rd. Mr. Casey joins Walker & Dunlop from MetLife, where he was responsible for their domestic and international commercial whole loan lending operation which originated approximately $9 billion of mortgage loans in 2012. Mr. Casey will be responsible for managing Walker & Dunlop's Proprietary Fixed Rate and Bridge Loan Funds, which are both currently in development.
Mr. Casey spent over 15 years at MetLife, most recently as managing director/head of real estate debt strategies. In addition to loan production, he was responsible for overseeing MetLife's $43 billion general account mortgage loan portfolio. Mr. Casey served as chairperson of the real estate mortgage investment committee at MetLife.

Mr. Casey received a dual bachelor's degree in business and psychology with minor concentrations in economics and accounting from The University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated Cum Laude. He also earned a Master of Business Administration degree in finance & investments with a concentration in real estate finance from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
