While still in college, Goings founded one of the nation's first direct sellers of home security systems. He was recruited to Avon Products Inc. in 1985 where he held a number of senior management positions: including President Avon Germany, Group Vice President & Senior Operating Officer Pacific Rim, and President of Avon USA. He joined Tupperware in 1992 as President of Tupperware Worldwide.
For more than twenty years he has served on the national Board of Governors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, where he also served two terms as Chairman of the Board of Governors. Goings is a trustee of
, a participant of the World Economic Forum (WEF), a member of the Board of Executive Advisors for the Yale School of Management's Chief Executive Leadership Institute and a member of the Florida Council of 100.
