May 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Preferred Apartment Communities, Inc. (NYSE MKT: APTS), or the Company, today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly dividend on its common stock of
$0.15 per share for the second quarter of 2013, an increase of
$.005 per share or approximately 3.4% from the prior quarterly dividend rate of
$0.145 per share paid to common stockholders for the first quarter of 2013. This also represents a 20% overall increase in our common stock dividend since our IPO and an annualized dividend growth rate of 10%. The dividend is payable on
July 22, 2013 to all common stockholders of record as of
June 26, 2013.
