REDWOOD CITY, Calif., May 7, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq: INFA), the world's number one independent provider of data integration software, today announced that Andrew M. Miller will join the Informatica board of directors effective May 28, 2013. Currently president and CEO of Polycom, Miller brings a 30-year track record of executive and sales leadership experience at a broad range of organizations from category leaders to industry giants.

Miller was appointed Polycom's President and Chief Executive Officer in May 2010 and became a member of the board of directors shortly thereafter. He joined Polycom, the global leader in open, standards based unified communications and collaboration (UC&C), in July 2009 as executive vice president of Global Field Operations. In that position Miller was responsible for Polycom's go-to-market strategy, including the sales, channel, alliances and sales engineering organizations.
From 1990 to 2001, Miller led high-growth sales organizations for networking leader, Cisco. From 2001 to 2006, Miller was CEO at one of the communications category leaders, Tandberg. And, prior to joining Polycom, Miller was global president of IPC Information Systems, where he was responsible for sales, marketing, operations and engineering.
