Prior to joining City National, Wilcox served as president of the Commercial Banking Division of Irwin Union Bank, based in Columbus, Indiana. During his four-years at Irwin Union he also served as Western region executive responsible for that bank's operations in Nevada, California and New Mexico and, before that, as Las Vegas market president.
Earlier, he spent 15 years at US Bank, where he held regional and district manager positions, including overseeing that bank's 22 Nevada branches. He also has served as Las Vegas area manager at Valley Bank of Nevada and as southern Nevada loan origination manager at the former California Federal Savings and Loan.
Active in the community, Wilcox is a member of the board of directors for The Financial Guidance Center and Las Vegas Events. He also is a member of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, of which he previously served as board chairman. He earlier served as council chair of Leadership Las Vegas and on the boards of Junior Achievement, Lied Discovery Children's Museum, Three Square, which is a community food bank serving southern Nevada, and the St. Rose Hospital Foundation.
Wilcox is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing.
