There was enormous interest in the 78 unique Saabs at KVD's car auction held at the beginning of April. The greatest interest was reserved for the few 9-5 Aero Sportcombi 2012 models that were for sale and the Saabs' new owners are spread across
The auction of the unique Saab cars ended on 3rd April and received a lot of attention, both in
and internationally. The most expensive was a Saab 9-5 Aero Sportcombi, where the winning bid came in at
. There was then a Saab 9-4X 3.0 V6 XWD at
, followed by a Saab 9-5 2.0 TiD4 Vector Sportcombi, which sold for
was the destination of the greatest number of cars (23), closely followed by
(20). Fourteen of the Saabs stayed in
and five went to
. The rest of the buyers came from
and the total sales at the auction came to
13 million SEK
"Our site has visitors from around the globe and there was great interest in Saab, so I am not surprised that so many cars went overseas," says
, Business area manager at KVD.
The auction was the second auction of unique Saabs that KVD has held on the instructions of the administrators of Saab Automobiles AB. The first auction was held in
and, then as now, the Saab 9-5 Sportcombi achieved the highest price. If the results of both auctions were combined, the buyers of the cars were from 12 different countries.
