Forrester Research Sees 2001 Revenue Increasing 50%

Forrester Research (FORR Quote), a company that tracks and analyzes the effects of the Internet on both business and society, expects to beat revenue and earnings estimates for 2001.

The company said it thinks revenue will increase by 50% in 2001. Analysts surveyed by First Call/Thomson Financial forecast 2000 revenue of $152.15 million and 2001 revenue of $223.75 million.

If you do the math at home, a 50% premium over the analysts' 2000 fiscal estimate is $228.23 million, $4.5 million better than the 2001 estimate.

Forrester also said it will earn 25% to 30% more per share in 2001 than in 2000. The company didn't provide a specific estimate, but based on analysts' expectations for fiscal 2000, which is 83 cents a share, that forecast would translate to earnings of $1.03 to $1.08 a share in 2001. Wall Street's 2001 earnings per share estimate is $1.04.
