as vice president of Government Affairs. He succeeds
who will retire in July after a 34-year career with FMC.
Whitman will lead the specialty chemical company's global government affairs function and will serve as FMC's key liaison with policy makers, industry associations and other stakeholders in the federal government and associated agencies. He has served in a variety of leadership roles during his nearly 20 years working in state and federal government affairs, including staff assistant to Senator
, chief of staff for the late Senator
, and chief of staff for Senator
. He most recently was a principal with bipartisan consulting firm Kountoupes Denham.
