These lawyers have been at the head of some of the largest deals in the past year, including multi-billion dollar M&As – such as Anheuser Busch's
– as well as in the structuring of multi-million dollar IPOs of some of the region's banks and private companies. Lawyers involved in the financing of the region's largest infrastructure projects – such as the Panama Canal expansion – are also represented, as are arbitrators representing companies and sovereign governments before the ICSID (International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes).
The selection comprises lawyers from both large multinational law firms, as well as local boutique firms that cater only to the local market. The lawyers' expertise spans a broad range of practices including arbitration, banking, capital markets, energy, mining, mergers and acquisitions, and tax.
