DDB Worldwide Leads Agencies With 22 Nominations And 18 Honorees At The 17th Annual Webby Awards

NEW YORK, April 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- DDB Worldwide, a division of Omnicom Group (NYSE), has received 22 nominations at this year's Webby Awards, the leading international award show honoring excellence on the Internet including websites, interactive advertising, and online film and video. The 22 nominations and 18 honorees for DDB have earned the agency the most nominated network spot at this year's festival. Winners will receive their awards at the 17th Annual Webby Awards held May 21, 2013, in New York.

Most nominated campaigns for the agency include DDB's work for Volkswagen, McDonald's, and Water is Life. DDB's office in Germany was nominated for its work for Volkswagen ( in the Viral Marketing and Public Service & Activation categories. Tribal Toronto's campaign for McDonald's Canada ( has been nominated in five categories including Best Social Customer Service. DDB New York's work for Water is Life ( has been nominated in four categories, including Social Public Service & Activism and Social Media Campaigns. DDB and Tribal Amsterdam's work for KLM ( has been nominated in two categories, Best Integrated Campaign and Tourism & Leisure. DDB's Germany office was nominated for its Steinway & Sons campaign ( in the Online Guerrilla & Innovation and Media & Entertainment categories.

Hailed as the "Internet's Highest Honor" by The New York Times , this year's Webby Awards received more than 11,000 entries from over 65 countries globally. From the thousands of entries submitted to The Webby Awards, only seven percent -- five in each category -- are recognized as nominees.

Winners will be celebrated at a star-studded ceremony in New York City on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, and presented with their awards. The show's host and venue for the 17th Annual Webby Awards will be announced on April 16, and streamed live at A full list of this year's nominees can be found at
