Paul Birkhead, senior vice president of technology at Worldwide Express, said technology developed by the company provides a competitive market advantage over rivals in parcel shipping, asset-based carriers and other third-party logistics companies.
Training sessions, held at the Omni Dallas Convention Center Hotel starting today, will include seasoned sales and account managers from across the country who are ready for a deeper course on WWE's technical capabilities.
Sessions will focus on specific features of SpeedShip and SpeedFreight, proprietary online services that help customers prepare parcel and freight shipments, and how employees can position the services to provide superior customer value. Birkhead will lead the sessions, the first technology training held by WWE.
"We're excited for the opportunity to bring sales and account managers to
Dallas so we can all focus on providing customers with an increased value proposition," said
David R. Kiger, CEO and founder of
Worldwide Express. "SpeedShip and SpeedFreight are great ways for Worldwide Express customers to find the solution that fits their business needs."
The intensive technology course is just the latest course offered by Worldwide Express, whose training regiment has been recognized by Glassdoor.com as one of the nation's best.
