Come celebrate the 40 th Anniversary of the Yellow Springs Art Show running from April 27 th to May 12 th. This juried show gives you the chance to view and purchase some of the most impressive works of art exhibited in the area. The event showcases over 175 artists, ranging from established artists to young emerging talent. Participating artists will exhibit paintings, drawings, graphics, and 3 dimensional works in a variety of styles from classic to abstract. In addition to great art, the Art Show also offers a treasure hunt with prizes for the kids.
The Opening Gala is Friday April 26 th with the Early Preview party starting at 5:30. Tickets are $100 in advance; $120 at the door. Regular Opening Party admission is $60 for non-members and $35 for HYS members.Chester County Area High School Student Clothesline Art Show April 27 th and 28 th This year HYS is also sponsoring a student clothesline art show, reminiscent of the first art shows at Yellow Springs. The goal of the show is to spotlight the next generation of artists. Young artists from the Chester County area high schools have been invited to exhibit. The show will be hung on the porch of Historic Yellow Springs on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 during the opening weekend of our show. There will be a special wine and cheese happy hour on Friday, May 3 th from 5 to 8 p.m. with a $5 donation.
