BEIJING, April 2, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ChinaCache International Holdings Ltd. ("ChinaCache" or the "Company") (Nasdaq:CCIH), the leading total solutions provider of Internet content and application delivery services in China, released its Fourth Quarter 2012 China Internet Report. The report ranks Shanghai first on the list with an average connection speed of nearly 4.04 Mb/s, making it the only province in China with an average connection speed of above 4 Mb/s. According to the report, in the fourth quarter of 2012, average Internet connection speeds in China increased to 2.59 Mb/s from 2.31 Mb/s in the third quarter.
Comparing China's three major carriers, China Telecom had the fastest average connection speeds, at 2.63 Mb/s, followed by China Mobile's 2.36 Mb/s and China Unicom's 2.3 Mb/s.
