Earlier in his career Shank spent two years as public information officer with Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, developing strategy and messaging, as well as conducting media relations, for a range of its litigation and education programming. Shank began his career holding account management and media relations positions with SFX Entertainment, Octagon Marketing and Fresno State Sports Information.
