KONA, Hawaii, March 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Concierge Auctions, the nation's leading luxury real estate auction firm, is pleased to announce another successful Hawaiian sale. A picturesque home in the exclusive Mauna Kea Resort on the Big Island's Kohala Coast, just a short walk to the beach, sold yesterday at a live auction in cooperation with Linda Bradley, R(B) and Karen Bail, R(B) of Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers. The buyer is from Canada and is represented by Rick Oliver of Clark Realty Corporation. The sale comes one day after Concierge auctioned ' Hale Ku Mana' in the Hualalai Resort, also on the Big Island. Upon closing, these properties will represent the 25 th and 26 th Hawaiian properties sold by Concierge.
The seller, Louis Haas explained his experience: "I was contacted approximately 15 months ago by Concierge to put this property, which was for sale at the time, into a Concierge auction. Instead, I kept the home with the local broker and did not receive a single offer over the next year (by the way, I think highly of the local broker — the failure was purely market driven in my estimation). In January, I agreed to the Concierge plan. What a pleasure! The process from beginning to end was smooth as could be — everything was clearly explained, the documents absolutely reflected the terms as explained (as a real estate lawyer I found the documents to be short and sweet), the marketing plan as promised was carried out to perfection, and the auction itself drew multiple bidders and resulted in a clean sale (still to close, but I anticipate no problems). While the price was not what I had hoped for, Concierge deeply probes the market and brings out everyone who could possibly be interested in the property. Upon reflection, the final price of the home was more than likely the best the market could bear. As the local broker told me after the auction, Concierge taps into pools of interest, which local brokers cannot touch. I would recommend Concierge and its cadre of professionals to anyone really wanting to sell a high end property."
Concierge Auctions' global marketing campaign generated 5,200 website visits from 42 US states (led by California, Texas, Hawaii and New York) and 27 international countries (led by Canada, Australia, the UK and the Czech Republic). A total of 747 prospects were identified, and 7 bidders participated in the sale.
"It has been a wonderful experience working with Concierge's on-site project manager and the firm's entire team. The excitement that resulted from the urgency created by announcing an auction date, and the extensive exposure that followed, was infectious," Bail stated. "We watched the interest and anticipation in the auction build throughout the process, and it's fulfilling to be part of the successful end result."
