PUEBLA, Mexico, March 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Aeromexico, Mexico's global airline, made several announcements at 2013 Tianguis Turistico travel trade show, including additional frequencies on its international routes and new service to key destinations in Mexico.
As of June and August, Aeromexico will offer a second flight on the Mexico City- Bogota, Colombia route in response to strong demand in both Latin American capitals, plus two additional frequencies between Mexico City and Sao Paulo, Brazil for a total of nine weekly flights on the route, along with three new frequencies on the Mexico City- Madrid route for a total of ten flights per week.
The airline also announced new seasonal service from Cancun and Huatulco to Los Angeles , California starting in June, to leverage summer travel in both destinations.Aeromexico and its partner Apple Vacations will offer three weekly flights on the Cancun- Los Angeles route, along with the Huatulco- Los Angeles service they will offer on Fridays. Both routes will be served with Boeing 737-800 jet airliners with 160 seats, so passengers in both Mexican destinations can travel to Los Angeles and beyond to other cities in the United States, thanks to the Aeromexico and Alaska Airlines codeshare agreement. The airline will also start to serve the Puerto Penasco- Las Vegas route in June, building new and significant ties between both nations. During 2013, Aeromexico is also working on consolidating its extensive network of domestic and international routes by continuously strengthening connectivity from different regions in Mexico with the 45 destinations it serves in this country, 19 in the United States, 11 in Latin America, three in Europe, two in Asia and one in Canada.
