Since LBP launched its line of eco-friendly single-serve filters in September 2012, the company has partnered with companies of all sizes, including Melitta, Saxbys Coffee, Mystic Monk Coffee, Woodshed Roasting Company, and Hawaii Roasters.

The UpShot Solution is also a more eco-friendly single-serve option because the filter is made from 100 percent polypropylene, making it recyclable along with other #5 plastics.** All equipment options for the UpShot Solution provide hands-on control over year-round production, seasonal offers, and speed-to-market. For instance, Woodshed Roasting Company, a specialty coffee roaster based in New Hampshire, is now able to offer a wide variety of its fair trade organic blends in a single-serve format utilizing the UpShot technology. All varieties are packaged in 16-count retail packs and available for purchase online. "Just a few years ago, we began as a personal sample business and have quickly grown into a quality, local micro-roaster," said Brad Fitzgerald, owner of Woodshed Roasting Company. "Thanks to the UpShot Solution, we are able to take our business a step further, by providing our customers with the single-serve coffee option they've been demanding." Mystic Monk Coffee, a small-batch coffee roaster led by Carmelite Monks in Wyoming, is leveraging the UpShot Solution to produce "Monk-Shots" – a single-serve filter with authentically-monk roasted coffee. Each "Monk-Shot" contains up to 20 percent more coffee than most major brands, making for a richer, fuller cup. "Monk-Shots" can currently be purchased online in 14-count retail packs. Hawaii Roasters, one of the only authorized Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee importers in the U.S., is now also offering single-serve using the UpShot filter. The ten-count retail packs are available for purchase online. Saxbys Coffee, a premier coffee franchise based in Pennsylvania, currently offers its well-known "Saxbys Signature Blend" in a single-serve format using the UpShot technology. The seven-count retail pack is sold exclusively through 25 retail locations across the country. Later this year, Saxbys plans to expand its single-serve portfolio and broaden its online sales and distribution channels. A well-established coffee company based in New Jersey, Melitta, will be the next to launch a single-serve offering leveraging the UpShot Solution. A new product line will be unveiled in April. Other possible applications of the UpShot Solution include foodservice, office coffee service providers and retailers.
