NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- US Airways Group (NYSE:LCC) hit a new 52-week high Wednesday as it is currently trading at $16.98, above its previous 52-week high of $16.54 with 2.3 million shares traded as of 10:16 a.m. ET. Average volume has been 8.3 million shares over the past 30 days.

US Airways Group has a market cap of $2.65 billion and is part of the services sector and transportation industry. Shares are up 24.3% year to date as of the close of trading on Tuesday.

US Airways Group, Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides air transportation for passengers and cargo. The company has a P/E ratio of five, below the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7.
