LAS VEGAS, March 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- LIGHT– the state-of-the-art nightclub by Cirque du Soleil and The Light Group– will open at Mandalay Bay the weekend of April 26 with headliners Nicky Romero and Axwell. On Friday, April 26, LIGHT resident DJ Nicky Romero will be joined by Clockwork and Andy Caldwell. On Saturday, April 27, Axwell will embark on his inaugural Las Vegas residency as he takes over LIGHT with Hook N Sling.
LIGHT, the first-ever nightclub turned on by Cirque du Soleil, will merge cutting-edge creativity with incredible music to produce a new kind of nightlife experience. Headlining DJs and performers will lead the charge, coupled with exclusively built performance elements and visuals, innovative video mapping, lighting, sound and special effects, as well as avant-garde costumes and unique choreography imagined by Cirque du Soleil.

Along with having an amazing opening line-up, visitors to LIGHT will always have the best in DJ entertainment as LIGHT has confirmed partnerships with world-renowned DJs including Skrillex, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso, Baauer, Nicky Romero, Thomas Gold, A-Trak, Mat Zo and Otto Knows as well as Alvin Risk, Andy Caldwell, Bassjackers, Carl Kennedy, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hook N Sling, Sebastien Drums, Stafford Brothers and Steve Powers. This all-star lineup of resident musicians at LIGHT continues to break boundaries with the recent addition of Krewella. Hailing from Chicago, the party-rocking electro trio made up of Jahan Yousaf, Yasmine Yousaf and Kris "Rain Man" Trindl, are just heating up on the world's electronic music circuit and with "Alive," their current hit which spent the last 23 weeks on the Billboard Dance/Mix airplay charts. Krewella will begin their residency at LIGHT on May 1, with eight performances planned for 2013.Designed as an experience to play with your senses, LIGHT will offer far more than the traditional nightclub.
