Recognition underlines Anite's technology leadership in wireless test solutions

Anite, a global leader in wireless equipment testing technology, was presented with an Innovation Award by a representative of China Mobile at an evening event hosted by Global TD-LTE Initiative (GTI) during the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona on the 26th of February. The award recognised Anite's achievements as a leading vendor of wireless test solutions and in particular its interoperability test solution, SAS.

Anite's SAS interoperability solution supports the largest number of tests for Tier-1 device acceptance programmes. It has enabled Anite to become the first device test vendor to achieve the 80 per cent validation target for GTI Priority-1 TD-LTE interoperability test cases for device functionality and performance in LTE Bands 38 and 40. This landmark target is important as it highlights Anite's leading position in developing mobile operator device acceptance test cases.

Major mobile operators around the world are using lab-based device testing as it offers a cost-effective way to perform controllable, repeatable and automated device testing. These operators are now looking to ensure that the next generation of mobile devices deliver on the promise of LTE-Advanced (LTE-A). In the run up to the Mobile World Congress, Anite announced that it had achieved peak data rates with commercial devices for LTE-A carrier aggregation - requirements driven by leading US operators. The availability of reliable high speed data rates is growing in importance as subscribers increasingly want to access data intensive mobile services 'on the move'.
