Essay Contest, and Presidents
topped the list of the winners' dream lunch guests.
For the second year in a row, Community Financial asked students, "Which U.S. President would you like to have lunch with and why?"
, a 7
-grader from Canton Charter Academy who wanted to have lunch with President Washington, earned the middle school group grand prize, and Reese Oberksi, a 4
-grader from Smith Elementary in
who wanted to have lunch with President Lincoln, took home the elementary school grand prize.
Both winners will receive
cash along with lunch for their class with Community Financial President/CEO
. Their teachers will also receive a
gift card for classroom supplies. Ten finalists will each receive
gift cards to Subway restaurants.
"It is always refreshing to see the creative responses we get from students," said
, Community Financial education partnership coordinator. "By providing them a forum like this to express their ideas, we get to learn a lot about how students view history and our leaders."
