Yesterday, Larry Page announced that more than 750 million devices powered by Android have now been activated globally. Considering that Google accounted for 480 million Android devices in September, Business Insider has calculated that by now, "Google is averaging 1.4 million devices activated per day".
Looking back, it seems like the pace of activation has slowed over the past few months. Taking current Android growth figures into account, Horace Dediu from ASYMCO expects the amount of activations to hit one billion in August 2013.
