March 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Good Technology Corporation, the leader in secure enterprise mobility, announced today that its Vice President and General Counsel,
Ron Vaisbort, has been named the "Best General Counsel in a Private Company" by the Silicon Valley Business Journal in its annual Bay Area Corporate Counsel Awards.
"We are thrilled to see Ron recognized as a leader in the technology and legal community of Silicon Valley," said
Christy Wyatt, President and CEO of Good. "Ron's expertise and guidance have been invaluable as we have significantly grown our business and product offerings and protected our position as the pioneer in secure enterprise mobility solutions."
Vaisbort joined Good in
January 2011 and has spearheaded the company's efforts to protect, enhance, and maximize the company's patent portfolio. A veteran of the technology, media, and entertainment industries for more than 20 years, Vaisbort has been at the forefront of numerous innovative business concepts—as both an attorney and a technology business development leader. Vaisbort's expertise is leading legal and business development teams with a focus on international IP creation, protection and commercialization strategy, licensing, and technology alliances.
"Silicon Valley is home to some of the most creative and skilled lawyers in the world, and I am extremely honored to have been selected as one of the Bay Area's leading Corporate Counsel," said Vaisbort. "Without the support and success of Good's executive team and its many employees, and Good's talented legal team, this award would not have been possible."
Prior to joining Good, Vaisbort was a founder and head of licensing, business and legal affairs for startups including Manana Media, Layer Dynamics, and Ripple Networks. He also served as Intel Corporation's Media & Entertainment Alliances Director and as a Senior Attorney in Intel's Corporate Licensing Group, where he was engaged in the licensing of Intel's extensive patent portfolio. Vaisbort also served as Senior Investment Manager for Intel Capital, responsible for diverse patent and technology acquisitions. Prior to Intel, he was the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Trillium Digital Systems.
