From Pucci To Picasso: Nazmiyal Acquires Impressive Collection Of Artist Rugs

Among them, the newly acquired "Tete d' Homme" and "Femme au Chapeau a Pompons et au Corsage," based on the 1962 linocut print of Picasso's wife, Jacqueline. "This limited edition rug was made after Picasso's death under license from his heirs. No other version of that piece has been found yet, which makes it is truly a rare find," says Nazmiyal. Picasso is not the only abstract artist featured in the Nazmiyal Collection. A vintage, Art Deco rug by Bauhaus artist Wassily Kandinsky is also available, as well as pieces by Italian designer Emilio Pucci, Israeli architect Yaacov Agam, pop-art inspired Verner Panton, Dutch COBRA founder, Corneille and others.
