Six Elsevier Works Included In Choice Outstanding Academic Titles List 2012

High praise from academic library community and American Library Association for best scholarly titles

Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, today announced that six of its works were included in the 2012 Choice Outstanding Academic Titles List.

Choice: Current Reviews for Academic Libraries, published by the American Library Association, is a source for reviews of academic books, electronic media, and Internet resources of interest to those in higher education. Each year in January, Choice publishes a selective list of Outstanding Academic Titles that were reviewed during the previous calendar year. The list includes approximately ten percent of the 7,000 works reviewed in Choice and is based on criteria such as overall excellence in presentation and scholarship; importance relative to other literature in the field; distinction as a first treatment of a given subject in book or electronic form; originality or uniqueness of treatment; and value to undergraduate students.
