ADDY Awards in social media and digital advertising, including one for "The Facebook Beautification Project," an integrated social media campaign for client
Gene Juarez Salon & Spas.
"The Facebook Beautification Project" campaign created a custom Facebook app as a tool to encourage the salon's own clientele to promote Gene Juarez across their personal Facebook networks.
The app, which was only visible after a user "liked" the Gene Juarez Facebook page, invited users to attend a professionally styled photo shoot at a Gene Juarez salon. After each shoot, the photos were watermarked and uploaded onto the app. Once visible, users could comment, share, and post as their own Facebook profile picture.
The results were phenomenal: Every profile picture uploaded sparked a response within the network, increasing the number of Gene Juarez Facebook page "likes," app users, and event attendees. Photo shoot events were sold out halfway through the campaign's run, leading to a 127% increase in traffic to the in Gene Juarez Facebook page views and doubling traffic to the Gene Juarez website.
