Top Analyst Firm Touts Benefits Of New Compuware APM For Mainframe Solution

Firm Cites Solution's Ability to Bridge Chasm Between Mainframe and Distributed Teams to Speed Up Mean Resolution Time, Reduce CPU Costs

DETROIT, Feb. 28, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq:CPWR), the technology performance company, today announced that leading analyst firm Ptak, Noel & Associates has published a report that praises the many benefits of Compuware APM for Mainframe, the industry's first and only solution that provides end-to-end visibility across the entire application delivery chain. The solution combines Compuware APM's patented PurePath Technology ^® with mainframe application performance measurement and analysis solution Strobe, enabling enterprises to resolve performance problems faster, reduce MIPS costs, postpone hardware upgrades and accelerate time-to-market for new applications.

In the report, titled, " Compuware APM for Mainframe: Application Performance Management to Connect Distributed and Mainframe Environments," Ptak/Noel describes an all-too familiar situation within many IT organizations. Distributed and mainframe teams in large datacenters have little contact or connection with each other, even though their respective technologies are increasingly interconnected, driven primarily by customers accessing the mainframe via their mobile devices.
