Microsoft Expands Internet Explorer 10
NEW YORK (TheStreet) - Aside from the entirely new touchscreen experience, one of the big reasons to upgrade to Microsoft's (MSFT) Windows 8 operating system is using the latest version of Internet Explorer.
Until today, Internet Explorer 10 was only available with Windows 8. This morning, however, Microsoft has announced a version for those still using Windows 7.
The new browser reportedly improves overall performance, specifically with Java script, and is even supposed to increase battery life when used in mobile situations.
There are IE10 offerings for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the operating system. The rollout of Microsoft's automatic updates will begin in a month or so. But, if you can't wait you can download it here. It comes in English and dozens of other languages.
