KB Home Announces James Harrison As President Of KB Home’s Houston Division

KB Home (NYSE: KBH), one of the nation’s largest and most recognized homebuilders, today announced that James Harrison has been named president of its Houston division. In this role, Harrison is responsible for all of the Company’s homebuilding operations throughout Houston, from land acquisition and construction to sales and customer service.

Harrison has more than 30 years of homebuilding experience throughout Texas including Austin, Dallas and Houston. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of leadership roles, including ones at Toll Brothers, Ashton Woods Homes and Ryland Homes. Most recently, he founded and was president of JBH Austin, LLC, an independent construction and consulting company focused on commercial and residential building as well as land acquisitions. In this role, he managed and provided guidance on projects statewide.

KB Home is currently selling its Built to Order new homes in 24 communities in and around Houston. In November 2012, the builder announced it had acquired a sizeable parcel of land in Katy, one of Houston’s most desirable suburbs, on which it plans to construct approximately 275 new homes. Construction at this new community is set to begin later this month.
