Barrick Stock Hits New 52-Week Low (ABX)

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE:ABX) hit a new 52-week low Wednesday as it is currently trading at $30.89, below its previous 52-week low of $30.90 with 2.5 million shares traded as of 10:27 a.m. ET. Average volume has been 7.9 million shares over the past 30 days.

Barrick has a market cap of $31.65 billion and is part of the basic materials sector and metals & mining industry. Shares are down 9.7% year to date as of the close of trading on Tuesday.

Barrick Gold Corporation engages in the production and sale of gold and copper. The company has a portfolio of 27 operating mines, and exploration and development projects located in North America, South America, the Australia Pacific region, and Africa.
